Drake Star Acts as Exclusive Financial Advisor to Ultraleap

London | November 20, 2025 – Ultraleap, a portfolio company of Mayfair Equity Partners and a global leader in spatial technologies for next generation human-machine interaction, announced their acquisition by ROLI, and the sale of their haptics and extended reality patent portfolio to SIM IP.

Drake Star acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Ultraleap and Mayfair Equity Partners on this transaction.

Ultraleap is known as the developer of powerful and immersive spatial computing solutions, enabling natural and effortless interaction with the digital world without touching surfaces. With over 560 patents and 10 years developing machine learning, Ultraleap was the first company to develop the full stack of software and hardware to enable Extended Reality (“XR”).

Under the terms of the deal, SIM IP has acquired Ultraleap’s renowned patent portfolio and agreed to grant ROLI an exclusive perpetual license to Ultraleap’s intellectual property. Ultraleap’s CEO & Co-Founder, Tom Carter, will join ROLI as CTO.
