PARIS | February 17th, 2015 - LD&A Jupiter advised Acute3D (Sophia Antipolis, France), a software editor, on its sale to Bentley Systems (Exton, USA), a global provider of software solutions for the entire lifecycle of infrastructure.
Based on research initially performed within the ENPC and CSTB research institutes, Acute3D offers a unique software solution for automatic 3D modeling/surveying/mapping from photographs. Its high performance and unlimited scalability make it possible to map an entire city from aerial imagery. It generates 3D models from photographs taken with a variety of devices. It was set up by a team of highly skilled engineers and PhDs, with strong 3D photogrammetry DNA, and recognized leadership in innovation
Bentley Systems is the global leader dedicated to providing architects, engineers, geospatial professionals, constructors, and owner-operators with comprehensive software solutions for advancing the design, construction, and operations of infrastructure. Founded in 1984, Bentley has more than 3,000 employees in over 50 countries, more than $600 million in annual revenues, and since 2006 has invested more than $1 billion in research, development, and acquisitions.
This acquisition will allow Bentley Systems to incorporate Acute3D functionality throughout their platform and application portfolio, enhancing information mobility throughout infrastructure asset lifecycles.

Jean-Philippe Pons, CEO & Founder of Acute3D, stated: “LD&A Jupiter’s sector expertise and international network of connections was instrumental in exposing Acute3D to the right strategic partners. The process was fast and efficient, optimizing the outcome for all parties involved.

LD&A Jupiter adds: “The sale of Acute3D in 7 months demonstrates our expertise in B2B software and our reach on multiple continents. This transaction is a good illustration of LD&A Jupiter’s international deal-making expertise“.
