Overview

Thomas Hürlimann brings over 30 years of experience in banking, reinsurance, insurance, and Board of Director proficiency along with a deep understanding of the cross-industry impact – and M&A potential – of Fintech and Mobility. Most recently, as CEO Global Corporate at Zurich Insurance Group, a business with US$9 billion premiums and a network in over 200 countries. Prior to joining Zurich Insurance Group, Thomas worked at Swiss Re, a leading global reinsurer.

Based in Zurich, Thomas is uniquely positioned to add considerable value to Drake Star thanks to his deep sector knowledge, his access to new corporate ecosystems and untapped geographies. He is one of the most influential names in global (re)insurance and technology today, Thomas also serves as a non-executive director at Hiscox and is an advisor to Drive TLV, Cytora, and other InsurTech and Data Analytics companies.

Thomas has a master’s in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Zurich and an MBA from IMD Business School.
