Stefan Krause has over 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, in which he has held various management positions with a strong focus on Finance, Financial Services, and Marketing and Sales.
Starting in 1987 at BMW’s Controlling department in Munich, he then transferred to the U.S building and ultimately heading BMW’s Financial Services Division in the Americas. Mr. Krause then relocated to Munich in 2001 where he became Head of Sales Western Europe. He was appointed member of the Management Board of BMW Group in 2002, serving as Chief Financial Officer until September 2007 and subsequently Chief of Sales & Marketing. Stefan Krause left BMW in 2008 to accept the Global CFO Position at Deutsche Bank.
He then served as Senior Advisor in European private equity at Warburg Pincus LLC in London.
In 2017, Stefan Krause and Ulrich Kranz founded Evelozcity, a manufacturer of electric vehicles, now known as Canoo. Krause initially took on the role of CEO at Canoo and subsequently moved into the role of Chairman. The company was listed last December on NASDAQ after its merger with Hennessy Capital Acquisition Corp IV.
In 2020/21, Krause was involved in the de-SPAC of Fisker, Inc, and Velo3D. He is currently CFO and CIO of Levere, a mobility-focused SPAC listed on the NASDAQ since 3/21. He recently founded Odin Automotive in Luxembourg, which acquired Streetscooter from DPDHL in January of 2022. Krause is now CEO and Chairman of this last mile delivery-focused German electric vehicle manufacturer.
Stefan holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg.
