Lawrence Quartaro has more than 25 years of corporate finance, treasury, and accounting experience in both the investment banking and accounting sectors. Lawrence has domestic and international exposure and is highly skilled in dealing with complex business processes and crisis situations.
Before joining Drake Star Partners in 2017, Lawrence spent 14 years in various finance and accounting roles at GE Capital, starting as Assistant Controller in 2003 to becoming the Operational Controller in 2012, the Finance leader of a headquarters department working on the reduction of GE Capital’s legal entity structure via internal reorganizations. In the last two years at GE Capital, Lawrence assisted in the disposition of $200 billion of financial services assets. Prior to GE Capital, Lawrence was the Chief Financial Officer & Controller of Promotions.com, an internet-based advertising agency where he guided the company through an initial public offering in September 1999.
Lawrence started his career working in Public Accounting. He held several finance-related positions at KPMG, LLP, including Audit Manager. Lawrence is a Certified Public Account and received his B.B.A. degree in Accounting from Iona College.
